Keyboarding with Mr. Turton
I think Mr. Turton should talk to us more. Since he doesn't when ever he talks i dont find it important even if what he is saying is. He believes on that we should go from books and teach ourselfs. I think he should teach about the thing we are learning and learn from the book. Mr. Turton goes off of a stupid pyramid and chart and thinks teaching ourselfs and our friends is better. Yes I can see helping our friends helps us but I also think the teacher should teach us and not ourselfs. If we all went off of a pyramid and chart we wouldn't have teachers which would take that job out of the picture. We would just need super visors watching us. Thats all and that wouldn't be good. Teaching us would also give us a look at how a professional person at computer works it. Also I think we shouldn't just learn the basic things like excel, word, acces, powerpoint. I would also like to learn about the computer and the actual keyboard and help my typing skills. Isn't that would actual keyboarding is about?!?! Keyboarding should be keyboarding not just going from a book and teaching ourselves. What do you think?!?!

I don't agree. I hate it when teachers blab to us about crap
this kind of teaching is helping you get ready for college. professors give you a due date and that is it--they don't always talk to you about it or even help you as much as mr. turton does.

Hi Matt - I know this post was from a while ago, but I'll comment anyway.
First, I appreciate your honesty. Second, it was nice to read the comments from other students. Also, I really do feel you learn more from doing work than me talking about you doing work. By people working independently, at their own pace, I am available to help those who need extra help. Not everyone works at your pace and has the skills you have. Lastly, I am happy to see you decided to take the Web Design class with me this semester. Actions definitely speak louder than words. See you in class buddy. :)
As long as we learn something. That is what we are here for
i like his teaching style when i have to learn stuff myself and spend a day or 2 figuring it out i tend to remember it better plus if ur really stuck and ask him he will help you
